A mouse is a computer input device. They are available in both wired as well as wireless models, from ball to optical mouse models. They can be used both with a desktop computer and a notebook computer. A wireless or cordless mouse is a type of mouse that uses Bluetooth or Infrared technology to send or receive signals. Wireless mouse are preferred for notebook computers. They are light weight and easy to carry around.

A wireless notebook optical mouse can be bought for around 30 US dollars. These are mouse with basic features like the regular wireless feature and the input arrangement. In case we opt for more advance features such as extra buttons, horizontal scrolling or longer range, the cost of the mouse increases accordingly.

These wireless mice have certain disadvantages too. One disadvantage is that their batteries get drained very easily. So you have to bear the extra cost of batteries as well if you are thinking about buying these devices.

Though wireless mouse for notebooks do have certain disadvantages, they can be neglected as they are nothing in front of the advantages these mouse provide.
